Cultivated meat has caused quite a stir since the first cultured burger was introduced in 2013. Today, high quality cuts of beef like steak and ribeye are possible and could soon grace the plates of diners everywhere. Compared to an ‘alternative protein,’ cultivated meat is an alternative to the way meat is processed and produced, saving animals and the planet along the way.
Didier Toubia, co-founder and CEO of Aleph Farms, will discuss the science behind cultivated meat, how it benefits people and the planet, and why 40% of a diner’s beef intake will eventually be from a cultivated source.
