The event

The ECOTROPHELIA Europe competition will be held as part of Anuga 2019 and, for this edition, products from 17 countries are in competition.

ECOTROPHELIA has the ambition to promote entrepreneurship and competitiveness in the European food industry through the organisation of national and European food innovation competitions the “Food Innovation Student Awards": a genuine incubator of ideas for the food industry. As these ideas have the potential to grow into start-ups, ECOTROPHELIA supports European start-ups reach the market and unveil the food of tomorrow.

Embodying the role of a Food Innovation Laboratory, ECOTROPHELIA also meets the audacious challenge to mobilize and facilitate cooperation between the actors of Higher Education, Research and Business to prepare the future professionals of the food industry and develop the eco-friendly food products of tomorrow.
