The event

In cooperation with Novelty Food and the praline Grieg Suites, we are delighted to invite you to a small breather with some food for the soul during this year’s ANUGA.

We believe fine food deserves fine music.

Grieg Suites is a tribute to the greatest Norwegian composer, Edvard Grieg (1843-1907). He named some of his masterpieces “suites”. Grieg both studied and worked a long time in Europe, but was always inspired by Norwegian folk music and Norwegian Nature.

As a tribute to his spirit, the Grieg Suites are composed of dark superior chocolate, filled with Lübecker marzipan flavoured with apple juice from the fjords of Hardanger on a layer of Wiener Nougat.

Einar Steen-Nøkkelberg is a renowned and celebrated Norwegian pianist with a strong relationship to the great Norwegian composer Edward Grieg. His recording of the Grieg Piano Concerto with the London Symphony Orchestra was chosen by the BBC as the best on the market. A former professor of piano at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik in Hannover and at the Norwegian Academy of Music. Among the many prices he has received are, the Norwegian Critics Prize, the Lindeman Prize and the Grieg Prize. He also has received the Order of St. Olav for his work.

Steen-Nøkleberg will perform selected pieces of renowned music by Grieg.
