The company was founded by Mr. Fan Chung, who studied traditional fermentation techniques in Japan and refined them to suit the local Taiwanese palate. In 1970, the company was officially renamed "Kimlan Foods Co., Ltd." and expanded into a diversified product portfolio including soy paste, BBQ sauces, and other condiments. Kimlan became the first food company in Taiwan to receive GMP certification and is now the largest soy sauce manufacturer in the country. All Kimlan products undergo a 28-step brewing process and over 50 quality control checks. The company strictly adheres to a 100% naturally brewed process with no concentrated soy sauce bases, ensuring food safety and consistent product quality.
