buononaturale is a family-run business created to provide the world with a one-stop shop for the highest-quality Made-in-Italy food production, organic for the Retail channel and traditional for Food Service.
Overall, the objective of our RETAIL range as a whole is to help the modern consumer, busy but demanding, to do well without sacrificing taste, attention to health and the environment or pleasure in the kitchen. These products, in fact, aim to make the authenticity of Italian food "accessible" to everyone, no matter if you are a mother of 5 or a 25-year-old struggling with your first job. For example, our ready meals reduce the time spent searching for the right ingredients -- Italian, healthy and tasty -- and serve a meal for 3 (per 250g pack) without requiring too much know-how or time.
1) buononaturale offers a variety of high-quality vegetable preserves rigorously from Italian organic farming. These include the more classic flavors and colors of the Mediterranean bush preserved in either extra-virgin olive oil, brine, or all-natural sea salt, such as Sicilian capers, artichoke chunks with a unique all-natural velvety consistency, sundried tomatoes, and Calabrian chilli peppers. Our organic preserved vegetables can be served as elegant finger food for happy hours or employed in more complex recipes. They are further packaged in reusable 100% glass jars, whereby we report recycling information on the packaging and publish online video tutorials to educate consumers to reuse them.
a. Preserved vegetables (Artichokes in brine or oil, Dried tomatoes in oil, Capers in oil or salt, Calabrian chilli peppers in oil, etc...) — ORGANIC, vegan OK, gluten free in glass jars from 120g to 200g
2) buononaturale also offers five typologies of boiled legumes, all from Italian organic farming: peas, Borlotti or the more prestigious Cannellini variety of beans, chickpeas, and a juicy tomato lentil soup. Our organic legumes are precooked, sterilized, and can thus be eaten straight out of their jars. They can be used for soups, salads, or employed in more complex recipes, and are further packaged in reusable 100% glass jars of 300g, whereby we report recycling information on the packaging and publish online video tutorials to educate consumers to reuse them.
b. Boiled legumes (Chickpeas, Peas, Borlotti beans, Cannellini beans, Lentil tomato soup, etc...) — ORGANIC, vegan OK, gluten free in 300g glass jars
3) Also based on fresh, in-season vegetables, buononaturale offers various ready-to-use sauces, in both ambient and controlled temperatures. Our organic sauce range usually includes a traditional Italian sauce along with its vegan or gluten-free alternative, and as such satisfies all types of palates. This is the case of our original tomato sauces with either seitan or soia, of our pesto either in its traditional Ligurian variety or without animal products, of our mayonnaise either classic or using soy in lieu of animal products. Obviously, no GMOs, additives, chemical treatments (including ionizing radiations) are used; all vegetable ingredients are harvested fresh, in season, at time of usage and sourced locally across the Italian peninsula. We are also working on an extension of the current line, using plant-based rather than simple vegan recipes, whereby we will aim to recreate all organoleptic properties of the animal protein from texturized vegetable proteins.
c. Ready-to-use sauces (Black olive paté, Ketchup, Mustard, Ligurian or vegan pesto, Classic or soy mayonnaise, Soia or seitan ragout, etc...) — ORGANIC in glass jars of 120g to 350g
4) Finally, buononaturale offers several classic authentically Italian alternatives to pasta. Specifically, we personalize ancient recipes to offer known flavors and aromas but with particular characteristics: (1) 10% protein content, all of vegetable origin, (2) little sodium, less than 1%, (3) little effort. We thus obtain delicate Risotto (with porcini mushrooms or mixed vegetables) and Polente (with porcini mushrooms or mixed vegetables), all focused on quality, health and speed. As for quality, the ingredients are from Italian organic farming. Health-wise, each of these meals contains the ideal amount of daily protein intake (10-20%) and is low in sodium (<1%), while high in fiber (3%), vegan OK and gluten-free. Regarding speed, to bring each of these "sleeping beauties" back to life, all it takes is exposure to a heat source -- be it simple boiling water, a microwave or broth -- and a handful of minutes -- from 5 for polenta at 15 for risotto. Each 250g package serves a "meal for 3" minimum, in just a matter of minutes.
