Dongwoonongsan Co., Ltd. is attracting attention for its success as a "superfood specialist" through collaborations with global nut manufacturers and domestic department stores and hypermarkets, as well as for expanding its sales channels.

Dongwoonongsan began its business 30 years ago selling domestic agricultural products such as peanuts in the market. However, due to declining agricultural productivity, it began importing and selling overseas agricultural products. Beginning in 2000, it expanded its nut market in earnest, and now handles everything from importing to processing, packaging, and distribution.

 

Dongwoonongsan specializes in nuts like walnuts, almonds, cashews, and Brazil nuts; dried fruits like cranberries, raisins, and prunes; and barley sprouts and noni concentrate. Currently, Dongwoo nongsan's products are available at Hyundai Department Store, Homeplus, and E-Mart. Notably, with the launch of No Brand in 2016, Dongwoonongsan collaborated with E-Mart to produce mixed nuts. Thanks to these No Brand mixed nuts, Dongwoonongsan's sales more than doubled, and in 2018, mixed nuts jumped from third place among all No Brand products to second place.

 

Additionally, the company has expanded into mid-sized supermarkets and convenience stores, and sells its products through online shopping malls and home shopping channels.

A Dongwoonongsan Products representative stated, "Using No Brand as a springboard, we aim to achieve 100 billion won in sales next year. We are making company-wide efforts to achieve our vision of becoming a specialized superfood company."
