A Viennese Original
Vienna has many originals: Falco and Mundl, Schönbrunn Palace and the Prater, Schnitzel and Kaiserschmarren. Not to forget: the Vienna Lager. Namely that of the Ottakringer brewery, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.
The original taste of Vienna
The Vienna Lager is brewed, among other things, with malt from the best Viennese malting barley. The Vienna Lager originates from 105 hectares of arable land in Floridsdorf, Oberlaa and Donaustadt. Around 525 tons of yield can be generated from it. After harvesting, the barley is sent to the Stadlauer malt factory. About 420 tons of brewing malt leave the malting plant and then make their way to the Ottakringer brewery, where the Vienna Lager is brewed.
