ORGAINVENT System for the Indication of Origin of Meat

ORGAINVENT has been developing and operating verification and certification systems at the agriculture – food industry and agriculture – energy industry interfaces since 1998. The first of these systems was the ORGAINVENT beef labelling system. It had already been authorized by the German Federal Agency for Agriculture and Food (BLE) in 1998 and represented the leading German labelling system until the end of the requirement for authorization in 2014. Its successor is the “ORGAINVENT System for the Indication of Origin of Meat”, which has been available for voluntary use by all market participants since 2015. Participants include companies from the meat industry, meat trade and food retail, as well as butchers. This system enables its participants to declare the legally required origin for beef, pork, sheep, goat and poultry meat in a correct and traceable manner. Furthermore, all voluntary “added value” declarations regarding meat can also be checked and reconciled as well as reliably and verifiably documented in day-to-day work using the ORGAINVENT system. ORGAINVENT offers companies individualized consulting and support. Neutral audits by accredited certification organizations complement this collaborative partnership.
