FROZEN! dti Innovation Award - Supported by AFC and Anuga

The German Frozen Food Institute (dti) introduced the inaugural FROZEN! dti Innovation Award. In collaboration with AFC Consulting Group AG and with the endorsement of Anuga, the world's largest trade fair for the food and beverage industry, dti recognized innovations within and for the frozen food sector.

Seeking Innovative Start-up Ideas for the Frozen Food Industry

Start-ups, but also more established companies, had the opportunity to submit their ideas until 05 September 2023. The FROZEN! dti Innovation Award looked for innovative frozen food products, concepts, and services that offered solutions to current challenges in climate protection, energy efficiency, digitalisation, logistics, and supply chains.

The FROZEN! dti Innovation Award acknowledged achievements that tackled future challenges in the spirit of frozen food pioneer Clarence Birdseye. That year marked the 100th anniversary of the frozen food industry. Through this award, dti showcased the innovation power of the frozen food sector, which always contributed to addressing current and future challenges. The Highlight: The Award Ceremony

The three finalists, selected by a distinguished panel of industry experts, presented their innovative ideas at the award ceremony during the Anuga event in autumn.

On October 08th in Cologne, the jury announced the final winner live at the award ceremony. Additionally, the event attendees selected their favorite. All finalists received a start-up membership at dti. An exclusive mentoring session with a recognized frozen food expert provided essential insights to further develop the presented idea.
