The presentation explores Ukraine’s important role in the global organic market. With 30% of Europe’s black soil reserves, Ukraine has some of the continent’s most fertile soils and a strategic location close to the EU countries. Ukrainian organic products meet the EU and other international organic standards, and exporters are recognized as reliable partners across Europe, North America, and Asia. Most operators are certified not only according to the EU organic regulation but also to the US (NOP), Canadian (COR), Swiss (Bio Suisse), German (Naturland), and others. The country offers over 55 organic products, including cereals, oilseeds, fruits, nuts, honey, and processed products. The sector is currently experiencing minor setbacks. By the end of 2024, organic and in-conversion agricultural land totalled 349,348 hectares, while the number of operators reached 436. Exports of organic products from Ukraine to the EU grew by 17.4% in 2024, reaching 203,897 tons. The key export products were cereals, oils, fruit and nuts.
