What to Expect at Anuga This October
On October 7- 8, Ecotrophelia Europe will hold its European final live at Anuga in Cologne.
The event will feature:
- The top food innovation teams from national competitions across Europe
- Live pitches, tastings, and product exhibitions
- Jury deliberations from top-level industry experts
- Networking opportunities between students, start-ups, and global food leaders
In addition, communication materials, co-branded content, and on-site video capsules will give visitors and media an inside look at the competition, its participants, and their innovation stories.
Theme of the Year: Feeding Tomorrow – Reinventing Food Production
This year, Ecotrophelia is embracing the theme: "Feeding Tomorrow - Reinventing Food Production" in its Live Magazine . It’s a bold invitation to rethink how we produce, distribute, and consume food in a climate-conscious, tech-driven world.
Through this theme, Ecotrophelia Europe aims not only to inspire innovation but also to provoke deeper reflection on the systemic changes needed to feed a growing population - without exhausting the planet.
An International Visibility
New in 2025: South Korea becomes the first non-European country to join the Ecotrophelia Europe competition - a timely addition, as it also happens to be Anuga’s partner country this year.
This participation marks a major step forward in the international visibility of the contest and underlines the global relevance of sustainable food innovation. We are particularly pleased to welcome a team of 4 Korean students this year with their product "To-flex" - all the more symbolic as South Korea is also Anuga’s official partner country for 2025.
