About Alexandre Horta
Alexandre Horta is the Executive President of the Brazilian Association of Soft Drink and Non-Alcoholic Beverage Industries (ABIR). Having been at ABIR for more than six years in the roles of Director of Government Relations and Executive Director, Alexandre took on the presidency in a year that marks the celebration of the entity’s 75 years of history and strong advocacy.
Graduated in Political Science, History, and International Relations from the University of Brasília, with postgraduate studies in Political Science and Military History at the National Defense University (NDU) in Washington, D.C., and currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Political Science and Institutional Relations at IDP, Alexandre has extensive experience in Government Relations. He headed leadership offices in the Federal Senate and the Chamber of Deputies, as well as having worked in the Legislative Chamber of the Federal District.
