About Simone Schiller
Simone Schiller, DLG e.V.: After an apprenticeship as a butcher in her parents' business, she studied food technology in Berlin. She began her professional career in 1994 in quality assurance at the food retail company Otto Reichelt AG. She expanded her expertise in the interdisciplinary health sciences program at the Technical University of Berlin. In 1997, she became Managing Director of the Berlin-Brandenburg Butchers' Association and Director of the Berlin Butchers' College. From 2009, she completed her legal traineeship at the Mannheim Vocational School and obtained a teaching qualification for the higher service. She has been working for the DLG since October 2011, initially as Project Manager for Convenience Product Quality Testing and from 2012 to 2024 as Managing Director of the DLG Food Center and board member of DLG e.V.. Since 2025, she has supported the DLG Food Center for Agriculture and Food and is dedicated to other food-related projects.
