The event

Permaculture is a term coined by Australians Bill Mollison and David Holmgren in the 1970s, made up of the words "permanent" and "culture". It is a sustainable design method based on the principles of nature that aims to create stable, diverse and productive ecosystems. Permaculture aims to minimize the use of resources and promote community self-sufficiency by creating systems that meet as many needs as possible at once. Examples include using rainwater, growing crops and fruit trees, creating habitats for wildlife, and using biomass as mulch and compost. Permaculture has the potential to play an important role in Africa in improving livelihoods and promoting sustainable development. It can help reduce dependence on fossil fuels and synthetic fertilizers and increase the resilience of communities to climate and environmental change. In addition, permaculture can help conserve biodiversity and improve food security by promoting the use of local resources and reducing dependence on imported food. I do Farmer Trainings for togocashews GmbH in Togo and we are trying to built markets for vanilla, dried fruits and coffee.
