Since its very foundation in 1968 Esca has always been leader in quality and innovation in the frozen seafood sector. One of the greatest milestones in the company’s long history was the successful launch, back in 2001, of a novel and original product: the Condipresto, frozen seafood sauces, easy to heat in a pan and serve with pasta, rice, or gnocchi in just 8 minutes. A product that simply and conveniently brings all the flavour of an authentic seaside restaurant meal to everyone's table.
The white wine or tomato-based sauce is prepared on site, from scratch, using only natural ingredients and following traditional Italian recipes. The finest seafood mix is then added on top. The seafood mix with sauce is deep frozen at -40 degrees, sealed in a skin pack and closed in a modern window pack.
Truly a revolution in the seafood industry, the Condipresto was the very first frozen seafood mix with sauce to be introduced in the market. An innovative product that rapidly conquered the Italian consumer market and for which Esca has since remained the undisputed leader and expert.
Today, the company -still led by the Patrizi Family- is constantly developing, whether in expertise or size and strengthening its presence in domestic and foreign markets where its innovative product is exporting to the world the authentic taste of the Italian cooking tradition.
Every year approximately 20’000’000 units are produced for supermarkets, hypermarkets, and discount stores, in both original packaging and private labels, both nationally and internationally.
The Condipresto ESCA frozen seafood sauces, now staple of Italian mealtimes, are rapidly conquering the leading position also in foreign markets (Europe, Canada, US and Asian countries) thanks to their across-the-board excellence, novelty and unique taste never compromising the adherence to food quality (BRC grade AA and IFS Higher level), sustainability (ASC certified) and food accessibility (all products are Gluten Free and a dedicated range of product is HALAL certified).
