Dehesa Barón de Ley, founded in 2004, with the ambition to become a world reference in Spain's most exquisite culinary treasure: the acorn-fed ibérico ham, the world's most prestigious ham.
We operate under the strict quality and control regulation of the DO Dehesa de Extremadura, which has the highest standards in Spain for both animal weight gain and production, providing guarantee and traceability of the entire process.
Inspired by the perfect Spanish paring - fine wines and ibérico products - this project belongs to one of Spain's most pretigious wine producers, Barón de Ley/El Coto Group, from the renowned DOCa Rioja. Our brands, El Coto, Coto de Imaz and Barón de Ley are specialised in premium category wines and particularly oak-aged reds.
An industry with many points in common with wine; the strictest appellation of origin (Dehesa de Extremadura), a unique indigenous breed of pigs, which when fed in freedom in the "Dehesa" oak tree forest can deliver a product of exceptional quality and aromas. Hams that will be cured and aged in our "bodegas" between 3 and 5 years
