"Zeitounet Al Akarit" is one of the largest olive trees in the world, planted over 900 years ago in Tunisia, in Douiret, a Berber village in the Tataouine governorate. The circumference of its trunk is 116 m, over 2000 m² of area. In 1992, it alone produced no less than 1500 liters of olive oil.
For at least 9 centuries, it has remained a living witness to the country's history and still stands proudly today!
