Since August 2018, Klaus Schmäing has been responsible as Director Marketing, Klaus Schmäing has been responsible for the marketing and commercial Burger King® in Germany. With the King's Selection, Burger King® introduced a gourmet platform as well as Plantbased Nuggets in a quick-service restaurant in Germany for the first time. As part of the innovation strategy, the world's first Plant-based Burger King® restaurant was also opened and digital distribution channels were expanded.
Previously, he was with the world's fourth-largest brewing group Carlsberg - responsible for local brands in Germany.
After studying business administration, he spent almost ten years in the service of consumer goods manufacturer Beiersdorf. Here he held various positions in marketing and sales both in Germany and abroad.
