Paul Holmbeck
Paul Holmbeck stepped down last year after 25 years as director in Organic Denmark, which unites the Danish organic farmers, food professionals, consumers and food companies, representing 90 percent of organic sales in Denmark.
Paul has played a leading role in creating Denmark’s ambitious organic policies, including national and municipal goals for 60 percent organic in all public kitchens, and the market partnerships and strategies that have made Denmark a world leader in organic retail sales.
Paul is now director of Holmbeck EcoConsult, where he advises leaders in government, business and NGOs on climate and organic policy and organic market development around the world. Paul is the 2021 Grand Prix winner of the One World Award for agroecology, awarded by IFOAM Organics International and Rapunzel. In September, Paul was elected to the IFOAM – Organics International World Board.
