About Uwe Richter
In my present role as a Senior Manager in FoodTech, I leverage my background in technology and the startup ecosystem to scout and assess promising startups. Prior to this, I was a Innovation and Technology Manager at GEA Group AG. There, I served as a catalyst for innovation, specializing in sensor technology, data analytics, and digital business models. I played a crucial part in identifying and cultivating partnerships with startups and actively collaborated with innovation hubs. Furthermore, I was instrumental in shaping GEA Group AG's "New Food" strategy, offering consultancy in startup strategy development and technical advice for various processes. Between 2007 and 2018, I was a research assistant at the University of Kassel in the Department of Agricultural Engineering. In this role, I independently oversaw bachelor's, master's, and doctoral theses, while also lecturing on Agricultural Engineering.
