WOSTOK was developed in 2009 by Dutch advertising photographer Joris van Velzen, who spent the previous 20 years living and working in Moscow.
The company’s first product was a remake of a Soviet soft drink from the early 1970s.
The range was gradually expended with further sodas, all of which are unique in the quirkiness of the ingredients used. The company targets a more adult and sophisticated audience than most other soft drinks, producing drinks that are free from preservatives and artificial ingredients (several SKUs are E.U. certified organic), less sweet, and, in addition, eminently suitable as fillers for cocktails and long drinks.
WOSTOK is currently exported to 23 countries.
The company can develop unique drinks to meet specific country or customer preferences, as well as produce the drinks in other SKUs (such as cans), if MOQs are met.
